Grace Thompson was born in Barry, South Wales. After her children grew up she qualified as a Nursery Nurse and worked with children in care and in schools. Then, following six years in Berkshire watching her grandchildren grow up, she moved back to South Wales, and now spends her mornings walking the cliffs and beaches of Mumbles and the Gower.

Her forty published books are mainly available in Libraries although it is possible that her publishers may still have copies available.
